Specializing in private in-home lessons, and servicing Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, as well as parts of Long Island, Music School of New York City offers the best music education to all students ages 3 to adult, from the absolute beginner to the most proficient.

We are dedicated to providing a warm and supportive atmosphere which will enable each student to receive the full advantages of learning music that extend far beyond the ability of being able to play an instrument.

We take enormous pride in our young, vibrant faculty, who are at the height of their creativity and enthusiasm in both their professional and teaching careers.

Above all, it is our mission and personal interest to develop the musical growth and talent of each student, so that they are able to reach their fullest potential, while discovering the magic of music, acquiring great skills, lasting impressions and memories and also – having fun!

Come sing along to your favorite rock, pop, jazz and broadway tunes at Brandy's Piano Bar where our very own Matt Nakoa will be performing live starting at 9:30 pm.

Brandy's Piano Bar is located at 235 East 84th Street between 2nd and 3rd Ave.

:: String Quintet Performance ::

Music School of New York City's violin faculty member, Sarah Whitney and her fantastic String Quintet, were recently winners in one of the toughest and most prestigious management competitions in the world - the Concert Artist Guild. Come celebrate with us and SYBARITE 5 at their upcoming residency concert @the cell on March 31st, 2012. Here is some more information about SYBARITE 5 - From Radiohead to Mozart, this group of talented, diverse musicians has changed the perception of chamber music performance. From the moment that their bows hit the strings, the audience is taken on a wild ride that engages the senses and redefines the rules.

the cell is a beautiful performance space located at 338 W. 23rd Street (btwn 8th & 9th) and "presents works that mine the mind, pierce the heart and awaken the soul."

Announcing LP Classics – a new, fresh and vibrant record company that is craving talent, discoveries and historial gems – co-founded by our very own, Natalia Lavrova (Director and Piano Faculty) and Vassily Primakov (Piano Faculty). The labels first release is a great album of little known Two-Piano works by a Russian composer, Anton Arensky.
